Thank you for your interest in Pool Leagues. Pool leagues are a great source of business
for bar and tavern owners. Many owners have turned to pool leagues as a way to obtain
another source of income especially in these challenging economic times.

The S.N.'9'.B.T.O.A. has been offering Bars and Taverns organized pool
leagues for over 30 years. Southern Nevada 9 Ball is the most respected, organized, and
established pool league in Nevada. We have beginner and advanced divisions in 9 Ball, 8
Ball, Adam and Eve (2 men and 2 women) and women's divisions traditionally during
the slowest nights of the week which are Monday through Friday. And unlike other
leagues, score keeping is easy and simple which allows players to have more fun and
enjoys themselves!

Benefits to the Sponsor: The league season is 20 weeks long. Each team consists of
5 players. This means that on league night, you will have a minimum of 10 additional
people in your bar (your team and the visiting team) for 2 !/2-3 1A hours or more. With
each team sponsored, you are guaranteed 9-11 weeks of extra business with an exposure
of the opposite teams 5 players possibly bringing in guests for eating, drinking, and
gambling. In addition to the league night of play, teams are notorious for returning to
their home bar for team practice and socializing. With two teams per night, you are
guaranteed all 20 weeks of business. Some bar owners sponsor multiple teams; in some
cases as many as 10-20 teams! This allows them to have a constant flow of new
customers in their bars!

How to form Pool Teams: An establishment's bartenders are the key to forming
pool teams. They speak with customers regularly and have a personal relationship with
them. It's important that your bartenders ask everyone if they would be interested in
joining a pool team and playing for their local bar. Once the first team has been formed,
others seem to follow. All new teams begin in entry level divisions, so it isn't necessary
to be a "world class" player. Your customers will have fun; they'll spend more time in
your bar, and generate more business for you as the owner. Sponsors with the most pool
teams have bartenders that are constantly recruiting players and teams. Some sponsors
even offer incentives to attract players and form teams. Some examples incentives are:
• A free drink coupon or $2 for a nine ball break.
• $5 for a 5-0(when you win all 5 of your games)
• Some sponsors offer to pay Vz of their player's league dues
• A cash incentive for winning top division shooter in the league. (Some bars offer
$100). Winning top division shooter means that a tournament will be held at your
bar at the end of the season. This usually brings in a minimum of 15-20 players
from that division into your bar for the evening. The tournament usually lasts 4
hours or more and can be very profitable for you as the owner.

So get all of your bartenders involved (especially swing shift) to help sign up teams as
this will generate business during their shifts and for your bar!

Sponsor's responsibilities: For each team sponsored there is a $70.00 sponsorship
fee that is due by the fourth week of play. When teams are playing a match is in your bar,
the pool table is either opened, or quarters are supplied for play. A "team round" of
drinks is given to the players of what they have been drinking all night (this usually takes
place towards the middle or the end of the night). Pool players are known for drinking,
gambling and eating during league play.

Player's responsibilities: Each player pays a fee of $9.00 per night for a total of $45
per team (5 person team). This weekly fee is dropped off along with their score sheet at
any one of the twelve drop off points by noon the following day. Each team will
designate a team captain for this duty.

What S.N.'9'B.T.O.A. offers: we will supply you with posters and sign
up sheets prior to the start of the season for a smooth beginning. We pre-deliver folders
for all teams which will include their schedule for the entire season, score sheets, rules of
the game, etc. A weekly updated standings sheet is mailed to the bar every week which
includes all of the matches played in that division, a listing of the top 10 shooters, each
players win/loss record who played in the previous weeks match, and a schedule for the
following week's matches. We are available by cell until midnight each night of play so
any questions by either players or sponsors can be handled on the spot.

At the end of each season we hold a tournament for all the top team shooters of each team
in that division. The players are awarded trophies and have a chance to compete in a
tournament for prize money. Each team that places first and second place in each
division also receives a trophy. Players also receive $1.00 per each game won at the end
of the season. S.N.'9'.B.T.O.A. feels that every player should be awarded not just the top
players and teams.
